Job Purpose

Managing tax provision and cash management operations and reporting in line with legislations and policies ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of Corporate Finance Division’s plan and develop operational plan of the Treasury and Taxation Function according to set objectives.
  • Develop Treasury and Taxation key performance indicators and continuously monitor progress towards operational plan.
  • Implement Treasury and Taxation Function framework, methodologies, techniques and principles.
  • Ensure that Treasury and Taxation Function operational plan is well communicated and understood at all levels.
  • Optimize resources and ensure team is efficient and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop budget requirements for Treasury and Taxation Function ensuring alignment to plans and needs.
  • Develop procedures ensuring all actions are conducted in a systematic manner.
  • Take operational decisions and escalate key decisions to senior management when required.

Key Roles and Responsibilities 2

  • Enhance and promote improvements in cash management ensuring financial obligations are met in accordance with WTCO policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash operations and bank relations ensuring proper cash flow in line with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective use of budget resources and highlight variances.
  • Ensure that payment letters, invoices, payment orders, etc. are matching and in line with policies and guidelines.
  • Identify allocated cash as per approved budget for petty cash activities and ensure reconciliation for records alignment and compliance purposes.
  • Forecast, monitor and track cash flow in line with applicable regulations.
  • Keep abreast tax laws and communicate internally for awareness and implementation.
  • Approve tax provision schedules and ensure accurate and timely calculation of tax payments and preparation of tax forms in line with legislations.
  • Develop reports for management and local authorities to maintain compliance and reporting.
  • Build and maintain solid relations with external stakeholders such as governmental entities and consultants to serve WTCO’s best interest.
  • Approve reports and presentations related to Department activities and achievements for reporting and decision-making.
