Job Purpose

Supervising maintenance and development operations of electrical, control, and automation systems to ensure operational continuity and achieve the highest performance efficiency through the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, fault analysis, and the management of operational projects using the latest industrial automation and control technologies.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with approved policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and practices, cost optimization, productivity enhancement, and efficiency improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within the Water Transmission Company (WTTCO) and related functions such as Human Capital, HSSE, Risk, and Cybersecurity.
  • Escalate issues to ensure challenges and cases are resolved efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure operational stability, analyze faults, and provide effective technical solutions to minimize unplanned downtime.

Key Roles and Responsibilities 2

  • Supervise periodic inspection and calibration activities for PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, power systems, industrial networks, and fire detection and protection systems to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of operational equipment.
  • Oversee the performance analysis of electrical and control systems by reviewing operational data, evaluating recurring faults, and providing technical recommendations to enhance system efficiency and reduce energy and operational resource consumption.
  • Supervise and manage development projects for electrical and control systems by defining the scope of work, monitoring the implementation of operational and capital projects, and ensuring system integration with the latest technologies and engineering standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities 3

  • Ensure the implementation of emergency and operational shutdown plans through proactive strategy preparation, root cause analysis of shutdowns, and application of preventive solutions to avoid failures and ensure operational continuity.
  • Supervise electrical isolation and equipment re-energization processes through the application of Permit to Work (PTW) systems, ensuring safety procedures during maintenance and equipment restart in accordance with safe operational standards.
  • Supervise and manage spare parts and inventory by analyzing operational requirements, reviewing purchase requests, and inspecting received materials to ensure compliance with technical specifications and operational needs.

Education Requirements

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Relevant fields
Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Relevant fields

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
