Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for conducting the operations activities, including shift operation schedule development, pipelines monitoring capacity gap analysis, and operational reports consolidation in order to ensure the proper functioning of the system.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of Operations’ systems, practices, cost optimization, and productivity & efficiency improvement.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTTCO and related functions such as but not limited to (HC, HSSE, Risk, Cybersecurity, etc..).
- Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Participating in conducting daily shift operation schedules based on demand forecast, system capacity, shutdown schedule, the quantity of water supplied, and scheduled interruptions of water sources supplied transmitted for maintenance purposes.
- Participate in analyzing capacity gap analysis and help identify needed skills to effectively allocate internal teams per shift or appoint external parties to function the transmission system properly.
- Participating in investigating encroachments, shutdowns, and performance variances and contributing to prompt implementation of mitigation plan developed to initiate required corrective action steps.
- Participating in coordinating between the Central Control Room (CCR) and Local Control Room (LCR) to guarantee efficient operation in compliance with set plans, standards, and requirements.
- Participating in consolidating operation, accident, and shutdown reports, analyzing operations schedule efficiency and performance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities 2
- Participating in assessing water quality, cooling systems, and pump oil systems performance to identify gaps in quality levels and systems efficiency.
- Participating in comparing the current forecast with actual consumption, issuing lessons learned, and developing reports that help create next year’s water forecast.
- Participate in supporting in planning and designing all works about rehabilitation and replacement of transmission systems equipment.
- Solve complex issues escalated from CCR or LCR and promptly find adequate solutions without interrupting operation activities.
- Comply with safety, quality, and environmental procedures to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and high-quality service.
