Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the enterprise risk management strategy and framework. Ensures the alignment of risk management initiatives with the organization’s strategic objectives while fostering a culture of proactive risk identification and mitigation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop Enterprise Risk Management policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned Enterprise Risk Management activity and provide continuous improvement recommendations.
- Develop Enterprise Risk Management strategic and operational plans, ensuring alignment with WTCO’s strategy, vision, mission, and corporate objectives.
- Develop an Enterprise Risk Management budget and ensure potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
- Fulfill ESG responsibilities and requirements in line with the strategy and ESG-related initiatives.
- Set Enterprise Risk Management KPIs and monitor progress and development toward WTCO strategic objectives. Identify the management needs of competencies and talents and provide recommendations with regard to human resources decisions.
- Develop all Enterprise Risk Management reports in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring meeting the requirements, policies, and quality standards.
- Delegate duties, responsibilities, and authorities to appropriate team members within the business in case of absence.
Key Roles and Responsibilities 2
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of Enterprise Risk Management’s systems and practices taking into consideration leading practices, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
- Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTCO and related functions such as but not limited to (HC, HSSE, Risk, Cybersecurity, etc..).
- Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive company-wide Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategy aligned with WTCO’s overall objectives.
- Ensure the ERM framework supports the achievement of strategic goals and provides a clear roadmap for risk mitigation across all business units.
- Establish, refine, and enforce risk management policies, processes, and controls to provide comprehensive risk coverage.
- Define operational and strategic guidelines for risk management, clearly outlining roles and responsibilities.
- Lead risk identification, assessment, and threat analysis for risks across various service lines and strategic initiatives.

- Develop and maintain the corporate risk register, ensuring all risks are prioritized and appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
- Proactively identify and assess emerging risks, providing timely and effective recommendations for mitigation.
- Monitor the alignment of WTCO’s insurance coverage with the enterprise risk profile to ensure adequacy of protection and avoidance of coverage gaps or duplication.
- Manage relationships with brokers to secure cost-effective insurance solutions that align with operational needs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of insurance programs as a key risk mitigation tool, ensuring alignment with organizational risk appetite and exposure levels.
- Oversee liabilities and property insurance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Monitor and review key risk performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of controls and identify improvement opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on risk management operations, providing actionable insights into senior leadership.
- Conduct periodic and ad-hoc risk assessments for new projects, initiatives, and changes in the business environment.
- Develop and implement awareness and training programs to enhance risk management understanding across the organization.
