Central Control Room Supervisor

Job Purpose

The job holder is responsible for ensuring supervising CCR’s daily operation, making necessary follow-up internally and externally to ensure a continuous supply of water and acting promptly in case of emergency to avoid operation interruption.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of Operations’ systems, practices, cost ‎optimization, and productivity & efficiency improvement.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTTCO and related functions such as but not limited to (HC, HSSE, Risk, Cybersecurity, etc..).
• Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
• Supervise the implementation of the CCR shift operation daily schedule by allocating specific operational tasks to operators ensuring coordination between shifts.
• Identify operational inefficiency and accordingly find the best solution or coordinate with relevant stakeholders to solve issues ensuring conformity with operational standards.
• Supervise the consumption and needs for chemicals, fuel, and other resources and report needs to relevant stakeholders to act accordingly.
• Ensure coordination with the Maintenance to prepare shutdowns and with the Local Control Room to ensure correct implementation of central commands such as switching between pumping units.
• Plan the site visits with contractors to pinpoint issues and set conditions before issuing encroachment work permits.

Key Roles and Responsibilities 2

• Supervise follow-up on pumping load and tank levels to ensure a continuous supply of quality water and prompt responses in case of emergency interruption.
• Ensure coordination with Lab Technicians to learn about the quality of water and assist the Operations Manager and Labs Manager in deciding on contingency measures to solve issues related to water quality in order to meet water quality targets.
• Support in the implementation of a contingency plan when a problem with the current water source is detected to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the transmission system.
• Ensure issuing permits to work and follow up with the Maintenance team to ensure on-time execution of preventive maintenance schedule and implementation of needed corrective maintenance.
• Review developed logs and generated CCR shift operation reports to keep track of daily operations.
